3-Day Tanzania Group Safari Tour Itinerary 2026-2027 Detailed Itinerary
A carefully paced journey through Tanzania’s premier wilderness areas, balanced with luxury rest and deep exploration.
Day 01: Arusha to Central Serengeti
Accommodation: Mid-range lodge or Permanent Tented CampYour journey begins with a 7:30 AM pickup in Arusha. Our expert guide will provide a briefing and assist with setting up your offline navigation maps (Maps.me/Google Offline) to track our route through the cellular-dead zones of the bush. Traverse the Great Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro Highlands, entering the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate. An afternoon game drive commences in the Seronera Valley, This area is world-renowned for its high density of leopards and lions.
- Sustainability Note: Our vehicles follow strict "no-off-road" rules to protect the Serengeti’s fragile ecosystem.
- Accommodation: Overnight at a comfortable mid-range lodge or permanent tented camp (e.g., ThornTree Camp or Serengeti Heritage Lodge).
- Meals: Lunch, Dinner.
Day 02: Serengeti Morning Game Drive & Authentic Maasai Culture
An early start at approximately 6:00 AM "Sunrise Drive" offers the best chance to witness predators on the hunt. Your guide will use local knowledge and radio tracking to locate the "Big Five" and explain the migratory patterns of the Great Migration, In the afternoon, we depart for the Ngorongoro Highlands. En route, we stop at a sustainable Maasai Boma. Unlike typical tourist stops, this visit focuses on authentic cultural exchange, supporting community education and water projects.
- Accommodation: Overnight in Karatu at a high-value lodge (e.g., Bougainvillea Safari Lodge). Staying in Karatu provides better amenities and a warmer climate than the crater rim.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 03: Ngorongoro Crater Floor (The UNESCO Wonder)
Descend about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a "natural zoo" containing over 25,000 large mammals.
