Day 01: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

The tour begins with approximately 2 hour drive to Tarangire National Park, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha around 8:00 AM. The park is known for its seasonal river and water hole plus huge baobab trees.

Upon arrival you will notice huge herds of elephants gathering particularly near the Tarangire river as it still hold water holes during the dry seasons. Tarangire is known for harboring huge number of elephants and bird life (about 550 bird species). The game drives continue the guide providing expert knowledge all around while helping to sport some of the rarest birds which are found in Tarangire such as Ashy starling and Yellow collard bird. During the late afternoon your guide will beging driving toward a budget camping site nearby for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Tarangire To Lake Manyara National Park Onward to Serengeti

This day begin with a very early breakfast and a scenic drive toward Lake Manyara National Park which located about 70km away north of Tarangire, the park is characterized by the rift valley escarpment, groundwater forest and a huge salt water lake harboring thousands of pink flamingo. The wildlife is nothing lesser with huge number of bird species (north of 400), tree climbing lions resting tree tops of Acacia trees, baboons and blue monkeys menacing around and hippos in a pool near the edge of the water. After lunch your driver guide begin to drive toward Serengeti National Park through Ngorongoro crater, a quick stop at the crater rim viewpoint before descending into Serengeti Park through Naabi Hill Gate for the late afternoon game drive and overnight stay in Seronera Public Campsite.

Day 03: Full Day Adventure at Serengeti

Your day begins early with a cup of coffee and biscuits prepared by your camp cook and mount into the cruiser ready for an early game drive. At this early our it is common to spot predators like cheetah, lions and sometimes leopard all on a lookout for an early meal. Listen to your guide carefully as he will be helping you to spot this African big cats in the hunting action.

Around 9:30 AM you will have a breakfast near Retima Hippo Pool stretching your legs and enjoy the early sun rise while enjoy your delicious cuisine your cook will include eggs, fresh fruits, and toast while watching hippos. After breakfast you continue with game drives spoting zebras and thousands of wildebeest your guide will listen intentively on a satellite radio from other drivers about hidden pride of lions or a rare rhino sighting.

Your private cook will set up your bush lunch in public fenced campsite, you will be served with juice, grilled chicken, egg, sandwich and banana. After lunch you late afternoon game drive continues before heading back to the campsite for overnight.

Day 04: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will track lions, cheetahs and leopard before they retreate to the shades to escape the mid-day heat. After the  mid-day lunch your guide and cook will make sure you packed properly and game-drive your way out of the park ascending into the cool, damp air of Ngorongoro crater rim. Overnight is at Simba Campsite on the crater rim or you can suggest otherwise.

Day 05: Ngorongoro Crater Floor Descent to Arusha

You want to be down on the crater floor early before it get crowded. Descending about 600 meter down this intact volcano you be greeted by more than 30,000 animals which is perfect place to spot the rare and endangered black Rhino and other animals on Big Five list. After 5 to 6 hours of game drive across the crater floor you will climb out and hit a tarmac road back to Arusha city marking the end of the 5 day adventure.
